To apply for a place in the URI courses, it is necessary to send the documentation according to the deadlines below:
- For the first semester (February to July), until October 20;
- For the second semester (August to December), until April 20;
* At URI, the subjects of URI courses are offered in Portuguese.* It is not URI's responsibility to guarantee the recognition and use of the courses taken by the foreign student. This is an exclusive decision of the home institution. In this sense, we recommend that you request guidance from the Department of International Relations or Academic Advisory at your institution.

Address for sending documentsThe documents must be sent, with the files in PDF format, to the address: internationalizacao@reitoria.uri.brAfter analyzing the documents, and if there are places available, the Dean will send the Letter of Acceptance to the Department of International Relations of the home institution, with a copy to the student.URI will help the exchange student to find a place to live during the exchange period. *Proceding the student visa at the Brazilian Embassy/Consulate in your country of origin will be the responsibility of the candidate.To register at URI, the student must submit the following documents:- Copy of Passport, with visa (tourist visa is not accepted for registration).- Copy of international health/insurance for the period of stay.- Copy of the Letter of Acceptance.- Academic History of the course, updated.- Incoming Application Form.- Term of Commitment - Incoming- Copy of the document issued by the Federal Police of Brazil.- Copy of the SUS Card.
ESTRUTURA ADMINISTRATIVA
Multi-campus institution, recognized by Ordinance No. 708, of May 19, 1992, is headquartered in the city of Erechim (RS), being maintained by the Integrated Regional Foundation, a non-profit, technical-educational-cultural entity, headquartered in the city of Santo Ângelo (RS). URI is affiliated to the Consortium of Gaucho Community Universities (COMUNG) and the Brazilian Association of Community Universities (ABRUC). The academic units are located in the municipalities of Erechim, Frederico Westphalen, Santo Ângelo, Santiago, São Luiz Gonzaga and Cerro Largo.
As shown in the image below, the administrative structure is divided into: Rectory (Rector and Pro-rectory of Teaching, Research, Extension and Post-Graduation and Administration); Campus Directorates (General, Academic and Administrative Management) and Departments (Exact and Earth Sciences, Biological Sciences, Engineering and Computer Science, Health Sciences, Agricultural Sciences, Applied Social Sciences, Humanities and Linguistics, Letters and Arts). All connected in order to guarantee the full development of URI's activities.
